What to bring to your doctor’s appointment
To have a positive, efficient experience with your new doctor, please bring the following items:
- Photo ID
- Insurance card(s)
- A form of payment, such as check, cash or credit cards to cover your co-pay or deductible
- Your most up-to-date lab information or medical images (if asked by your MU Health Care doctor’s office)
- Your list of current medications including over-the-counter and prescription medications
- A list of questions you have for your doctor
Check-in for your appointment
To ensure you don’t feel rushed, we suggest checking in at your doctor’s office 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This extra time gives you a chance to fill out any new patient information, review your questions and decide what you want to talk about during your appointment.
If you are scheduled for a procedure or surgery, please visit our Admissions/Registration area on the first floor of the hospital where you are undergoing surgery.
